 Embedded Software Engineers

 

Scope

  Develop high performance embedded multimedia software for ARM-based architectures

  Implement and optimize multimedia framework, file format, streaming protocol, and/or device driver software on embedded real-time operating systems

  Design scalable software architectures in a process-oriented development environment

  Interact closely with a diverse and energetic team of software developers

 

Requirements

  BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science

  3 or more years experience in embedded software development

  Proficiency in C/C++ development on General Purpose Processors

  System-level architecture design perspective

  Solid understanding of multi-threaded software development

  Understanding of Product Lifecycle Processes

  Working knowledge of software configuration management tools

  Excellent communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications - experience in any of the following areas:

  Embedded RTOS’s such as Symbian, WindowsCE, Nucleus, pSOS, or Embedded Linux

  Understanding of XML

  Forward Error Correction (FEC)

  Streaming protocols such as SIP, RTP, RTSP

  DVB-H CBMS protocols such as FLUTE, ALC

  Multimedia compression formats such as MPEG, H.264, AAC, and Windows Media
