Embedded Software Development Engineer - This job will be a Software Development Engineer position. This business unit provides electronic systems and components for Electronics and Connected Worksite. This position will be the Software Development Engineer for on-board (on-machine) Advanced Monitoring and Diagnostics systems for Machine and large engines applications. The system will operate in real-time on large mining machines, including off-highway mining and construction trucks, wheel loaders, motor graders, and scrapers.*Not all positions may be currently available, please contact Volt for more information. Requirements: Requirements:The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year(s) of work experience relevant to the position; excellent longevity in previous positions, and a degree or certificate is highly preferred. Required experience and skills: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering or equivalent. - 1 year of experience developing embedded software. - Ability to work in a team environment, communicating technical information and development progress to team members and others - Proficient coding in C++ - Excellent troubleshooting skills - 6-Sigma - RTOS - UML Modeling - Object Oriented Design and development - Design Patterns - Communication Protocols (TCP/IP, CAN, RS232/RS485) Optional skills and experience: Highly Desired: - Experience with COM and MFC software development - Rhapsody in C++ modeling tool - Microsoft Visual C++ IDE - Experience with machine health/monitoring systems. - Proficient using Clearcase Experience and knowledge of Tools: - Codewright editor - Latuerbach debugger - Diab C++ compiler - Rhapsody in C++ - ClearcaseSubmit your resume today!
