The Educational Consultant acts independently to provide pre- and post-Sales support to schools in tailoring the vision and implementation plans for product integration, focusing primarily on staff development to change the manner in which teachers and students interact. Writes and implements service plans. Facilitates the training of internal and external customers. Assists educators in using products to enhance academic objectives.
Prepares and delivers a minimum of 171 billable days of professional development annually. Will schedule and conduct curriculum and management systems training for staff development of both internal and external clients. Actively pursues and achieves the renewal of service contracts through on-site visits, follow-up phone calls and excellent delivery of services and training. Strategizes with area Sales and technical team members to assess the best way to meet or exceed customer requirements and ensure satisfaction. Utilizes current research and educational knowledge in working with customers to assess needs, to develop and articulate goals (vision) and to write implementation plans for the LIPP (Learning Improvement Partnership Plan). Interacts with appropriate district and site-level personnel to coordinate the implementation plan through secured resources and scheduled training. Facilitates implementation plans in school sites. Monitors site performance, evaluates the effectiveness of training, and shares pertinent information with customers. Completes daily activity reports and forwards them through the automated services tracking system. Attends and participates in assigned forums to keep abreast of current products and educational trends (e.g. training, meetings, seminars, conferences, etc.) Performs other special projects as assigned. Produces instructional materials as required. Monitors site performance for appropriate instructional use.

Required Experience
A Bachelors degree required, but a Masters degree is preferred. Requires a knowledge of educational theories, necessary to consult with educators about the learning processes, teaching tools and integration of technology coursewares with the curriculum Teaching credential. Demonstrates knowledge of the Education environment, curriculum and technology.
A minimum of 3-5 years teaching experience at the K-12 level. Previous staff training experience within an Education setting preferred, inclusive of program and courseware development. Prior work in curriculum development, staff development or other related experience. Leadership roles in work related teams or professional organizations. Willingness to travel. (Position encompasses travel up to 100% travel time and occasionally requires overnight stays.) Must be able to work flexible or extended hours outside the normal business day to perform responsibilities (i.e. beyond 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) Must be able to do presentations for periods up to 8 hours per day. Must have available transportation and be able to travel an average of up to 4 hours per day. Must be able to transport or move an average of 45 pounds.
