Title: Educ Solutions Specialist, Manufacturing #65484 Location: Manchester, NH Role/purpose The Education Solution Specialist Manufacturing works with the Education Strategic Account Executives to drive awareness and adoption of Inventor and Autodesk's 3D solutions in Manufacturing at named strategic colleges and universities in the assigned geography (i.e., Eastern North America). The Education Solution Specialist Manufacturing is a technical resource who thoroughly understands the features of Autodesk's solutions in mechanical engineering and design and the benefits educators can realize by adopting those solutions. He/she understands the challenges for instructors and departments in updating or changing existing curriculum and can confidently suggest and demonstrate how Autodesk solutions will help the educator address their issues and achieve their goals. The Education Solution Specialist Manufacturing exhibits strong industry knowledge directly supported by experience and education. He/she is well versed in the vernacular of the industry and conversant about new technologies and processes and can relate them to the higher education market. He/she understands how to uncover the core of an educator's issues and can relate the issues to their own personal experiences and the experiences of other educators to gain confidence to find solutions. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Increase awareness and adoption of Inventor at Strategic Universities. Meet with key faculties in the Mechanical Engineering area; build contacts and relationships at each university. Conduct introductory and in-depth product presentations to faculty, staff, and/or students. Develop an accurate profile, including departmental rankings, of each university and department. Input and maintain the information into SFDC. Conduct semi-annual account reviews of each department/school and establish priorities. Increase or maintain the rating at assigned Mechanical Engineering departments. Increase product downloads of Inventor at Strategic Universities from the Student Engineering and Design Community. Support Worldwide Education Division's Marketing and Product Development Activities. Monitor activities on the Student Engineering and Design Community; answer questions. Assist in developing Worldwide Marketing and Product Development Plans; assist in the development of success stories for publication. Interface with MSD Market and Product Development Groups. Provide input on Product Marketing's activities; review marketing plans. Offer feedback to Market Group regarding product offerings at Strategic Universities. Support Product Marketing's initiatives contests, brochures, student representatives, etc. Attend key educational events with the goal of promoting Autodesk's industry leadership, the Student Engineering and Design Community, Inventor and continued ADI renewals. Assist in development, testing, reviewing and improving Inventor curriculum. General Must be willing to travel frequently (i.e., 75%+ during the academic year.) Position can be located anywhere in Eastern North America. The successful candidate must be extremely self-directed, have great initiative and be able to work independently with little direct supervision. Requirements BA/BS or equivalent mechanical engineering and design related experience. Minimum 4 years experience in account management, training or sales in mechanical engineering and design, ideally in the higher education market. Good understanding of the Education market. Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, set priorities. Ability to work as part of a diverse and extended team. Strategic thinker that can manage long-term and cross-product issues.
