EPM Analyst
The EPM (Enterprise Project Management) Analyst provides expertise in the definition, adoption and adherence to application architecture strategies, processes, and standards as they relate to the EPM solution. He/she will own the EPM product and champion and plan the usage of the tool with multiple departments at Ubisoft’s San Francisco office, with potential to expand to EPM solution globally.
Near-term responsibilities will include serving as the technical lead to complete an on-going EPM implementation project. The EPM Analyst will work closely with internal SharePoint resources as well as consultants to complete the project. Upon implementation completion the EPM Analyst will work closely with Ubisoft’s game development producers to train in the solution’s usage, champion the solution’s usage and respond to requests for changes in the solution’s configuration.
Long-term responsibilities will include assuring the on-going operation of the EPM solution, identifying expansion opportunities for the solution (e.g. IT, Marketing), and managing improvements to the solution. Potential improvements that have already been identified are:
· integration of the solution to the data warehouse for further reporting in Business Objects.
· integration of the solution with other enterprise data services to maintain data consistency across applications
· implementing budget management features
The EPM Analyst role will be accountable for collaborating on the architecture and design of IT solutions in the EPM space to meet Ubisoft’s business requirements. He/she will partner with key associates (e.g. project managers, business analysts, etc.) to create well-defined solutions that are aligned to Ubisoft’s business strategy and leverage common solutions and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint EPM project by completing defined requirements, soliciting business feedback through a pilot phase and migrating to a production environmentTrain producers group on usage of the EPM solutionServe as a product champion for the EPM solution by pro-actively soliciting feedback, addressing change requests and identifying expansion opportunitiesServe as the administrator of the EPM solutionKeep abreast of technology changes in EPM technologies and best practicesDefine and implement backup and recovery procedures for the EPM solutionTroubleshoot EPM solution failures, develop strategies for resolving them and prevent future occurrencesConfigure and manage role based access for several departments requiring complicated permissions modelsDevelop and configure roll-up reports derived from many project schedules and enterprise custom fieldsDevelop user guides and on-line help documentationCollaborate directly with team members and customers
QUALIFICATIONS:Technical, business analysis or project management background; Ubisoft will provide training in Microsoft Project Server administration upon hiringExperience working in software development environments and the migration of configurations from development to testing to productionKnowledge of project and schedule management concepts; Microsoft, IIL or similar schedule management training preferredUnderstanding of Microsoft SQL Server and how it supports MOPSUnderstanding of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and how it supports MOPSUnderstanding of Active Directory and MOSS security models and how they support and affect MOPSExcellent verbal and writing skills; ability to communicate clearly with customers, peers, and managementExperience soliciting requirements and driving groups to consensus
