Adopting standards will enable the use of key technology within an environment that is understood, defined, and with reduced complexity and support. In the adoption of standards there are many stakeholders with many individual needs. The candidate must understand the stakeholder needs and then steer the solution in the direction that is best for the enterprise. The candidate will have a balance of strong technical skills, communication skills, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills, change management skills and visionary leadership. The candidate will be able to influence highly technical senior development staff through actual experience, solid research, and good working relationships across teams. In addition the candidate must be comfortable presenting technical concepts in non-technical terms to business leaders. Successful applicants are technology leaders who have 10 plus years of strong experience architecting, designing, and building enterprise class systems. We seek a candidate with strong Microsoft technology, Service Oriented Architecture, and Object Orientation experience. The candidate should have skills in areas such as leadership, communication, and change management. You will work in a demanding and exciting environment that is creative, detail oriented, and absolutely vital to the success and strength of the company.What You Will Do:• This position works across Application Development, Service Delivery and Infrastructure to identify, research, discuss, design, and implement key standards. Other responsibilities include: • Research, design, document, build, and pilot prioritized topics for standards. • Manage the list of potential standards and work with the application development management to prioritize efforts. • Work closely with Development, Infrastructure, and Service Delivery teams to understand their needs and ensure the best enterprise standard is implemented. • Work closely with development teams to pilot and prove out the standard. • Drive the identification, development and implementation of key new standards in areas such as: Contract First, Performance Testing, Security, World Ready, Event Management, Web UI Framework, .NET Design Standards, Application To Application Communication, Caching, etc • Propose new enterprise standards based on business need, IT need and technology advances. Assist development teams to implement the standards into business applications. Investigate new technology and techniques that should be developed into a Company standard. • Lead key enterprise architectural design projects as necessary. • Operate as business savvy technical leader across the organization. Influence development teams to design high-quality technical solutions that fit the Enterprise Architecture and standards. • Educate application development managers, developers, and BA’s on the Company's Enterprise Architecture Standards.What You Need to Have:• Must have excellent design and architecture skills and proven track record delivering well designed complex enterprise class systems. • Must have proven interpersonal and influencing skills at the management and developer level of the organization. • Proven experience performing successful change management. Experience and knowledge of common strategies for resolving conflict. • Proven communication skills both one on one and in larger presentation settings. Demonstrated expertise in a variety of application development technology concepts, practices, and procedures. • Must have proven advanced experience using and migrating to leading technologies especially Microsoft Technologies. • Advanced demonstrated experience with object oriented design and development techniques using Microsoft technologies and Service Oriented Architecture. • Demonstrated use of .NET application development technologies as well as a solid understanding and practical use of specific Microsoft development technologies such as VB.NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET, XML, SQL, and SOA • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Must be able to quickly establish trust and credibility within the application development and other areas of IT both at the individual contributor and management levels. • Must have excellent written and verbal communication. • Must have excellent technical development and design skills and be able to mentor others to improve their skills. • Proven track record of effectively delivering results in a fast paced, flexible environment while managing multiple priorities. • Minimum of 10 years of professional information systems experience with 3 to 5 years of leadership experience. • Demonstrated creativity solving technology problems. • Must be a self-starter with proven experience accomplishing goals with little direct oversight.David Fink, CSAM is recognized as one of the top Information Technology recruitment specialists in the country.
