Upgrade of HBA drivers and firmware revisions across all OS platforms Day to day monitoring of the storage environment Performance monitoring and capacity planning of both storage and SAN environments Work closely with business groups and internal IT to manage projects from inception to implementation Create and present technical presentations for management. Manage and monitor EMC Centera storage Perform array to array data migrations The primary hours for this position are 9A.M to 6P.M with night and weekend work as required. You will also be part of an on-call rotation.Qualifications – Required: 3-5 years of systems administration with knowledge in at least two of the following: Redhat Linux, Sun Solaris, Windows NT,   or VMware. 5 years of dedicated storage administration to include architecture, administration, monitoring and best practices preferably in large(500TB plus) environments. In-depth knowledge of either Veritas volume manager or LVM Hands on experience with large scale SAN fabrics(500+ ports) and enterprise class directors from Brocade or Cisco Hands on experience in Fiber channel HBA management Thorough working knowledge of Enterprise class arrays with preference to command line knowledge Thorough knowledge of EMC powerpath, or Veritas DMP pathing software Ability to troubleshoot performance and I/O problems within both the server and storage environment Thorough understanding of Disaster recovery and business continuance practices to include snap and/or replication technologiesQualifications – Desired: Experience with CAS(content addressable storage), EMC Centera preferred Experience managing EMC Celerra or Netapps a plus Experience in EMC Rainfinity a plus Experience in large scale backup design is a large plus, with preference to Veritas Netbackup. In depth fiber Channel theory and protocol level debugging Hands on experience in EMC ECC including performance monitoring and storagescope Experience with EMC Mirrorview, Snapview, Timefinder and SRDF a plus Scripting experience in shell scripting, expect or Perl Knowledge of change control processes and Clarify or Remedy products.
