Dynamics Subject Matter Expert AX/NAV001

This position primarily supports our operational groups to effectively implement and support BT software solutions integrated with Microsoft Dynamics AX and NAV.  The support provided will be in the form of a subject matter expert (SME) role that understands how each ERP system is implemented and used. In the SME role, this position will assist in product development and testing with environment setup, best practices, typical customer use – helping to guide the development of the product to meet market needs at real-world customer sites.  This position will also assist during implementation and post-implementation as needed to give guidance on how to best implement BT solutions in context to typical AX/NAV usage or to meet a particular customer’s business needs. This position may also assist during the sales cycle. Guidance will be provided directly to external customers and partners as well as internal staff. The guidance provided will be in the form of verbal/written recommendations as well as hands-on system integration work to apply customizations and deploy our solutions in customer’s AX/NAV environments. The SME will need to stay up to date on emerging technologies available in the AX/NAV products that would allow for cleaner and more robust integrations.  Finally, this position will be practiced at using the customization tools available with AX/NAV to model and create packaged integrations. 

Typical Responsibilities:

Assess business needs for specific customers and recommend integration plan Assess and resolve customization conflicts with our packaged integrations for specific customer implementations Define and document best practice for implementing our AX/NAV integrations Train Development, QA, Professional Service, and Support teams on ERP usage with respect to integration Build AX/NAV system environments for: development, testing, training, support, and sales Design, document and configure testing scenarios to exercise integration functions Design, develop, debug AX/NAV customizations for packaged integrations Work with the Product Management and Development teams to ensure the features meet product requirements, are shipped with high quality on schedule, and participate in feature and design review to ensure the testability of the features

Job Requirements:  Previous experience in an ERP business application/functional consulting role with expertise in several functional areas of ERP such as finance, distribution, manufacturing, sales A proven track-record of successful ERP project implementations in mid to large size organizations. Experience with AX and NAV integration to other applications Exposure to AX development environment: MorphX and X++, .NET Exposure to NAV development environment: C/SIDE, C/AL, .NET Must have good oral communication skills and technical documentation / diagramming skills

Qualifications:AX and/or NAV certification International implementation experience Exposure to latest releases of Dynamics AX and NAV Experience with other Dynamics applications such as GP and CRM
