Designs and manages the eLearning technical consulting process, providing operational and strategic leadership to project teams. Leads a dynamic, fast-paced and highly responsive organization supporting sales, client services, product management, software development, quality assurance and multiple clients. Acts as key client liaison for developing new business, including prospect and proposal development, as well as forecasting and sales of professional services. Requires practical experience on system integration projects and a network of contacts in the education industry. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree with six plus (6+) years of consulting and project management experience in a technical environment with at least 5 years of managing a work group. MBA preferred. Experience must include sales, full life-cycle software development, implementing IT projects, and managing related integration projects and teams. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Manages both domestic and international resources including direct report and matrixed resources, and participates in the assignment of resources to projects and initiatives. Directly manages business analysis team, and is responsible for all personnel-related, tasks including hiring and firing, training, performance and growth.2. Seamlessly blends technical, operational, marketing and sales priorities into a single, cohesive departmental strategy3. Maintains department financial documentation including budget, forecast, revenue recognition and project-time reporting. Accountable for department profit and loss projections.4. Drives quality and process improvement in all aspects of the client delivery process including: client consulting, business analytics, project management, software development and quality assurance5. Provides essential internal guidance to executives and key business leaders on implications of business decisions, and manages the project-prioritization process.6. Identifies and supports research and development activities that promote the creation of robust and industry leading products, as well as internal tools and process improvements.7. Explains the department role to new clients, provides solutions-consulting when necessary, leads large-scale product discovery meetings and initiatives.8. Represents the department as stakeholder on all product initiatives.Skills/knowledge/abilities ' 'In-depth knowledge of business-analysis concepts including discovery and design methodologies, solutions consulting, business requirement structures, user story writing, etc.'Direct experience with multiple project management methodologies including both waterfall and agile SCRUM.'Knowledge of industry standards, professional services best-practices and a broad-spectrum of evolving technology, including: VoIP, security standards, FERPA, 508, SCORM, AICC, IMS, etc.'Strong knowledge and applied background in software development, distributed computing systems and systems integration.'Practical experience on system integration projects and a network of contacts in the education industry.'Working knowledge of Internet, Business Intelligence (data mining) and Database technologies and concepts.'Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently.'Excellent client service attitude, communications and interpersonal skills.'Outstanding organizational and time management skills.'Exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills.'Strong PC skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.'Ability to make timely and sound decisions.'Capable of working independently and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
