Director of Product Marketing Software

The Director of Product Marketing  is responsible for defining and implementing the product marketing strategy and programs for entire portfolios and Total Security offerings. Specific responsibilities for this position include development of a go to market strategy and execution plans based on analysis of the market, competition and customer needs; work with product management and engineering to develop roll-out plans for new products and releases; manage a team of 12 product marketing managers focusing on network security, appliances, end point security and security management; working with sales and partners to communicate Total Security value proposition to customers; act as an evangelist and key spokesperson to industry analysts, press and other key influencers; develop sales tools and create compelling sales and marketing materials.Responsibilities –• Responsible for product marketing of product line. • Create and drive global go-to-market plans that increase revenue and improve market position in key market segments. • Develop, validate and deliver to various audiences positioning, messaging and branding around Total Security value proposition and for each of the product category within the portfolio • Ownership of all customer facing content including data sheets, brochures, websites, white papers, contributed articles and presentations. • Spokesperson for press, industry analysts and other market influencers in relevant market and product segments. • Drive outbound marketing strategies to improve awareness, share of voice, sales pipeline and market position. • Manage content development for sales training to field sales force and reseller partners. • Manage team of 10-12 product marketing managers.Requirements –• BA/BS or equivalent experience. MBA is highly desirable. • 15+ years of related industry experience in marketing security products and services. • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. • Excellent presentation skills. • Proven leadership track record. • Good understanding of information security and networking technology. • Proven ability to drive execution in a dynamic, global company.
