We are seeking a special candidate with an excellent blend of business acumen, technology vision, leadership skills and QA functional expertise. In this position, you will be responsible for QA strategy and tactics, management of QA budget, development and execution of automation planning as well as for the overall test planning, execution and quality of all IT releases; you will be reporting to the Vice-President of IT Enterprise Applications. RESPONSIBILITIES Definition of QA strategy and tactics, including development and execution of automation planning Management of QA budget ($9M/year) Evaluate, formulate, and implement long-term strategic plans for optimal efficiency and growth, this includes providing a variety of solutions and alternatives Guide IT with influence and negotiation to set expectations and manage the risks, dependencies and tradeoffs inevitable in complex project delivery Technical leadership in Quality Assurance with strong emphasis on metrics driven approach Lead a large, global team (100+) responsible for Quality Assurance Develop a talented and highly motivated global team of engineers to successfully deliver the application portfolio Optimize productivity while engaging outside agencies to provide flexible bandwidth and leverage offshore talent or niche skills Manage vendor relations ensuring selected vendors are providing optimal service and cost REQUIREMENTS 15+ years managing software development for enterprise, business systems and/or software projects with a minimum of 4 years at a senior manager level Experience with the design and implementation of automated testing including regression testing Broad knowledge of Enterprise Applications such as SAP, Siebel, Tibco and J2EE technologies, with the ability to drive innovation, solution optimization and future IT vision in a complex projects environment Experience with test automation tools such as Test Director, and Load Runner Outstanding record of personnel development and management Strong Enterprise Application management experience in a global enterprise company larger than $2B Experience managing large budgets and projects Results driven, ability to initiate and lead projects Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with CMMI and Agile software development methodologies Familiarity with CAD software, Architectural, Mechanical, or Civil design EDUCATION BS in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems or a Business related degree; MS degree is a plus Autodesk provides one of the most exceptional compensation and benefit packages, including stock options for all employees, 401k matching, six week sabbatical after four years of employment, domestic partner policy, on going employee training and development, flexible work hours and more!
