The Director of Channel Sales, North America is responsible for developing and growing channel sales throughout The U.S., Canada and Latin America. The role also includes managing a high performing team of channel account management professionals, significant cross-functional project work with other departments such as marketing, sales and operations, as well as expanding and enhancing the channel partner program.
This position is based at our U.S. office in Burlington, Massachusetts.Main dutiesManage and enhance a scalable program for acquiring, motivating and supporting productive partnerships with resellers throughout the Americas Manage a high performing team of Channel Account Managers and Channel Sales Representatives to achieve optimal performance, ensure loyal partnerships, and increase sales Identify opportunities to expand channel sales throughout the region, and design and execute programs and initiatives to capture and leverage these in the marketplace Grow new channel business through existing reseller partnerships and new partner recruitment Provide excellent leadership and drive motivation within the channel team Develop channel plans by territory/region Assist in the identification and recruitment of strategic channel partners Work closely with the sales team to increase sales success with partners through enhancements to programs, processes, and go-to-market strategies Work closely with sales operations and education groups to develop a repeatable and scalable program for effectively training channel partners Work closely with the Marketing Department to develop, implement and manage regional channel marketing programs to increase sales though channel partners Provide leadership and guidance to internal groups Identify and implement competitive differentiators in the value proposition to Sophos channel partners which drive partner recruitment, investment and best-in-class growth In conjunction with sales management and others, develop and implement a set of defined qualitative and quantitative objectives measuring channel program success Establish new indirect channel revenue models and opportunities for the company Experience and skills 5-7 years of experience in channel sales, with experience managing channel sales professionals, sales and sales management, marketing and operations Enterprise IT, security and/or networking software industry knowledge/experience Proven experience working with sales and channel teams to drive strong financial performance To be successful in this role, you will need to: Align tactical plans with overall business and channel strategies Implement new programs and initiatives in collaboration with other teams and departments To possess excellent oral presentation, written communications, and sales interaction skills Execute on a number of parallel tasks and prioritize appropriately Benefits
