cMarket is located in Cambridge near Red Line MBTA station and bus routes.  cMarket is a venture-funded start-up now in its 5th year.  The team is comprised of motivated staff driven to ensure the company’s success and take advantage of the opportunity that a fast moving company creates. The Director of Business Development’s duties will be responsible for:

•           Selling the vision of a new marketing concept

•           Developing and managing new client relationships

•           Close sales by the acquisition of new client accounts

•           Aggressively grow a sales pipeline from scratch via cold calling, networking, outside/inside sales techniques, etc.

•           Cultivating agency and partner relationships

•           Sell a brand new marketing concept in a missionary sales environment 

 

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE

•           Experience with Promotion, new Media and /or traditional Media Sales

•           Experience with opening doors and engaging marketing executive in Travel,

Hospitiality and Entertainment industry.

•           Success in a start-up business

•           Knows how to advance a deal through the sales process – from developing a

contact, explain the vision, handle objections, close, manage accounts; leverage existing customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Ideal candidates will demonstrate successful experience with the responsibilities detailed above, and will possess many if not all of the following important traits:

•           Minimum of 4+ years experience in executive level sales and business

development positions

•           Success in consultative/strategic sales. (Preferable SPIN Selling, Dale Carnegie, Strategic Selling or Customer Centric Selling)

•           Proven B2B sales skills (hunting, developing and closing skills), preferably (but

not necessarily) in the development and sales of advertising/

marketing/promotional programs.

•           Track record of successfully managing the development of complex mission

critical sales initiatives.

•           A highly motivated individual with an outstanding achievement and track record

•           Proven ability to articulating new marketing concepts conceptual in a clear and easy to understand manner

•           Highly assertive prospecting style. Capacity to establish and manage long-term relationships

•           Accountability for company and individual goals are paramount
