Director, Partners and Alliances
Senior position reporting to the Vice President of Product Marketing. The candidate will develop and oversee the company's relationships with selected partner companies in support of overall revenue goals and strategic initiatives.
• Manage and develop AspenTech's relationship with key strategic partners, primarily Microsoft and selected global systems integrators with a focus on joint marketing and sales enablement. Work with regional field operations groups to facilitate appropriate joint field engagement to drive revenue.
• Develop and lead, in conjunction with Product Management, AspenTech's partnering opportunities with the DCS vendor community specifically driving towards global reseller arrangements. Work with field channel organization to operationalize these relationships into the field when ready.
• Understand the overall ecosystem map portraying AspenTech's position relative to other suppliers and cultivate and manage appropriate relationships (e.g., SAP, SLB, INGR, Haliburton, Aveva, etc.)
• Maintain and develop AspenTech's formal partner programs and supporting marketing, governance, compliance and policy including the Partner Portal
• Work with Corporate Marketing to develop, deliver and coordinate appropriate partner marketing programs and materials
• Work with and support product management and corporate initiatives around technology acquisition opportunity identification and due diligence
The ideal candidate will have some combination of experiences and accomplishments listed below
• 10+ years in enterprise software with a strong background and demonstrated success in strategic partner development and business and corporate development. Direct experience with Microsoft and global SIs highly desireable.
• Previous experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, and/or Sales a bonus
• Process industry knowledge and experience preferred
• Proven track record of identifying, developing, launching and growing key partnerships with large, complex corporations
• Experience in structuring and negotiating deals of varying content (co-development, strategic investment, M&A, etc.)
• Proven track record of teamwork and leading diverse functional groups to a common goal
• Well-developed network of appropriate industry contacts
• Record of recruiting, developing and managing staff
• Highly articulate with excellent analytical and public presentation skills
• Self-directed, highly motivated, detail oriented, charismatic, personable, fun
• Notable formal technical and business education
