Database Developer / AdministratorLocation: Andrews AFBReference: NG437 Force 3, Inc., an IT leading services provider with Cisco Gold and Sun Partnerships is seeking a Database Developer/Administrator to work at Andrews AFB supporting National Guard Bureau (NGB). DUTIES / SCOPE OF WORK: *** Must be a US Citizen and have an active Secret Clearance***The DBA will be responsible for the environmental aspects of all databases and systems assigned to the Development Team. In General these aspects include recoverability (creating and testing backups), integrity (verifying or helping to verify data integrity), security (defining and/or implementing access controls to the data), availability (ensuring maximum uptime), performance (ensuring maximum performance), and development and testing support (helping programmers and engineers to efficiently utilize the databases). Roles of the DBA would include installation of new DBMS software, configure hardware and software with the system administrator, security administration, data analysis, database design, data modeling and optimization, and responsible for the administration of existing enterprise databases and the analysis, design, and creation of new databases. Must demonstrate a working knowledge and skill of database normalization, DTS package creation and Stored Procedure creation as well as the interaction between a Web application and its data source. Ideally the DBA will be a Web developer as well and will assist in the creation and maintenance of Web applications. Experience in support/development of Web-based applications in an open environment would be an asset. REQUIREMENTS: **Must be a US Citizen and hold an active Secret clearance**Must have a solid understanding of Cold Fusion, Java Script, Action Script, HTML and XML. At least 2+ years of professional experience programming in VB.NET, 4+ years of overall development experience, a strong background in SQL Server (i.e. stored procedures, triggers), and C# and/or object oriented programming experience. Experience in support/development of Web-based applications in an open environment. This position is part of the Development team which consists of 3 other team members; must be a team player with good communication skills HOURS: Mon. – Fri. 7:30am to 4:30pm.
