Experienced Database Administrator will work in the fast-growing On Demand business on multiple QAD database administration and design tasks in a complex operational environment. This position is in a 24/7 on-call environment that involves maintaining SLA systems uptime, ongoing monitoring and maintenance of all QAD databases.  The responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to:Install QAD products and support WAD databases in both production and development environments Monitor and report on database health and performance daily Create and implement test plans for validating data system changes prior to deployment Automate and script system database tasks; streamline processes Configure and implement implement database backup recovery methods per the customers business processes Monitor database performance and make recommendations to improve and implement system wide changes to enhance overall system Create, deploy, test, and maintain backup and recovery plans Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:University education in MIS, Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience 3+ years experience supporting QAD products and related technologies, or 3+ years in supporting information systems infrastructure environments 3 or more years experience performance tuning  of Progress databases Linux and Windows operating systems administration capabilities Progress database proficient Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively handle any caller Knowledgeable in software development processes and lifecycle management Ability to travel 20%
