Database Administrator/Lead Database Administrator Responsible for database and middleware software, assuring that all security, auditing, and restart/recovery functions are properly operating. Monitor performance and provide capacity planning information. Identify areas where improvements are desirable and suggest improvements. Provide assistance and training to other database administrators and other CIS technical staff. Evaluate vendor-supplied software and make buy/build recommendations. Resolve particularly complex or critical technical problems. Function as a project manager as required. Lead the effort to implement Oracle RDBMS and associated products for Administrative System Replacement projects. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in technical area or equivalent experience.3 – 10 years of experience with database administration, preferably OracleExperience with ERP implementations, preferably SCT/Banner product suitesConceptual knowledge of all and in-depth knowledge of some of the following: technical architectures, configuration management, SDLC, operating systems, and database systems.Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written).Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize activities.Project management skills desired.
