Description Provide DBA services to internal and external clients in UNIX and Linux environments Designs, implements and maintains all functions of database system including SQL, OS commands Build new databases from scripts and imports; refresh existing databases Assists in all DB functions including access, allocations, validity checks, security, documentation and statistical methodology Assists in the integration of various systems through the database system Conducts backup, recovery and query tuning Support requests from Operations, Development, and Client Service personnel Install Oracle software

Required Skills Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience Minimum of one year of experience working with Oracle, SQLServer, or other relational database software Understands basic business aspects of technical problems Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently on multiple tasks Strong communication and technical skills Knowledge of relational databases, Structured Query Language (SQL), and UNIX or Linux operation system Knowledge of programming or scripting language (JAVA, PL/SQL, Perl) Experience as a database administrator or relational database application developer preferred
