Data Warehouse ETL Developer
Stephens Technology Group is a Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Consulting Firm; our primary focus is within the Health Care, Pharmaceutical and Insurance Industries. We are in immediate need for a Data Warehouse ETL Developer and an enthusiastic team player.

The Data Warehouse ETL Developer will develop and deploy subject oriented data marts to support business intelligence applications. This position works within the Information Services Business Intelligence-Data Warehouse (BI-DW) team to deliver, enhance and support the BI Data Warehouse. In this role, you will establish technical design plans, develop extract-transform-load packages, unit test, enhance/fix, document, deploy, support and maintain data warehouse solutions using SQL Server tools.
Responsibilities
Work with production support to design, build and extraction-transformation-load (ETL) packages/processes for new and existing source data for the data warehouse Develop ETL development standards in accordance with the data warehouse solution. Where standards do not exist (e.g., new technology, complexity) this position will provide leadership to develop alternatives and guidelines, best practices and standards Work with production support personnel to implement, support; maintain ETL packages that run in the production environment Interact with business analysts and end users to gather or review requirements and prepare design specifications Conduct impact analysis for change requests (architecture, objects, datasets, processes) and advise stakeholders Troubleshoot and resolve data, system and performance problems and recommend solutions  Design, deploy transaction rollback and data restore functions as required to recover from bad dataset entries Develop exception handling and notification and ETL audit functions to support new and existing data marts (data quality screens, production monitors) Prepare and keep system level metadata and documentation current and accurate  Ensure high quality deliverables; that errors are detected in design or testing to avoid production outages, and in initial component design to avoid delays in project schedules Support the project manager in defining scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned projectsÂ

Required Technical Skills/Experience Experience in database design 2+ years experience with relational database engines, preference to MS SQL Server (SQL agent, encryption, replication, backup, restore and other admin tasks in a development environment) 2+ years experience developing SQL queries and stored procedures Working knowledge of data warehouse and data mart architectures (dimensional models, star schema) 1+ years experience developing Data Warehouse ETL solutions 2+ years experience with ETL tools (MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Data Transformation Services (DTS)) 2+ years experience developing with the .Net Framework 1 year / working knowledge of Visual Studio Team Suite (VSTS) Data Modeling Experience is a plus.
