Join a team focused on the support and development of our enterprise class Entity Management application - GEMS (Global Entity Management System). We are looking for Technical Service Professionals for the ongoing support and development of Computershare Governance Services software for Enterprise Level corporations. We need candidates that have experience providing Database conversion and programming services as well as general server level support for web based enterprise applications.



This is a hands-on role that will challenge a candidate's ability to service and deliver technology at the enterprise level.



The Database & Data Conversion Analyst will be responsible for:







Analysis and documentation of conversion mappings.

Developing data conversion routines and scripts for database conversions.

Supporting the Project Management, Implementation and Client Services teams.

Providing second level technical support including issue analysis and troubleshooting.

Working with Project Managers and Clients to determine ideal solutions for Data migration.

Ensuring customer expectations are met.

The following key skills and experience are expected requirements:



Technical Skills:



1 + years of development experience with MS Transact SQL scripting language.

Creation and maintenance of stored procedures, views and triggers.

Experience with IIS, COM+, Windows Server 2003.

Experience with Data Conversion, including Data Mapping.

Intermediate technical experience with server and network environments.

Firm understanding of development life cycles and SQL development best practices

Intermediate skills with Database Administration.

Other Required Skills:



Experience in a Professional Services organization with working knowledge of customer service methodologies.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact with others in a team environment.

Ability to provide accurate work time estimates.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

Technology based Post-Secondary education.

Ability to Work in Canada and to travel outside of Canada.

The following skills, behaviors, and experience would be an asset:



Technical Skills:



Knowledge and\or experience with Crystal Reports

Experience with other database types (MySQL, Oracle, SAPDB, Access, Other)

Experience creating detailed technical documentation including functional specification and mapping documents

Knowledge of additional programming languages (C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, XML)

Experience debugging system environments including Clustered Servers, Virtual servers and Multi Tiered solutions.

Monitor, improve and identify potential issues with database performance (database performance optimization).

Experience with HotDocs or Visio Programming.
