Data Quality Specialist

Job Summary:
The Data Quality Specialist is responsible for Marketing Operations data quality control, including data quality tracking, data cleansing and database maintenance. This role will also support the work of the Data Quality Manager in managing the data requirements of Marketing users around the world, uploading data into Marketing Operations databases, and working with Lawson’s internal ITS department on database integration and analysis projects. The Data Quality Specialist will also take on ad hoc data projects as requested by the Manager, Database Marketing, and assist Data Entry Specialists with data update projects as workload allows.
Essential Functions:
(30%) Tracking global marketing data quality in addressable market database, including completeness, duplication and corporate relationship data. Merge and cleanse data as required.
(30%) Work with Data Manager to execute data imports into addressable market database and daily flow of information coming from third parties making sure all pertinent data is entered into system and that their systems are updated with our current information.
(30%) Execute ad-hoc projects assigned by the Manager, Database Marketing to improve data completeness and usability in the databases, including assisting Data Entry Specialists with manual data improvement projects as necessary
(10%) Work with ITS and the Data Manager to ensure the accuracy of dataflow between outside parties and Lawson. Manage integration points and test results regularly to ensure accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
Skilled in Relational Databases, File Transfer Protocol
Microsoft Office skills
2 years marketing or other contact database background
1 year database administration
Excellent communication skills
Success record of tracking and improving data quality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Access database management
Ability to create complex data queries in Microsoft Access, SQL or other query language.
Willingness to perform detailed and repetitive tasks when needed to ensure consistent data quality
Preferred Qualifications:
Software/Technology industry knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, IT, or related field
Operating Systems Knowledge
