DOORS Software Engineer
Organization: Public ServiceLocation:San Diego, CA The Public Service operating group serves government organizations around the globe, as well as foundations, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and non-profit enterprises. Accenture's Services workforce is a dedicated team of people who work on outsourcing engagements. These are long-term partnerships with clients for whom we manage and provide increasingly specialized business operations, such as finance and accounting, IT, applications development and maintenance, help desk services, and HR. We not only maintain key business functions for clients, we constantly seek to improve them to help our clients move ahead of the competition. Most of our people in Services are based long-term at a client location, an Accenture Delivery Centre or, in some cases, an Accenture office. Job Description: We are looking for a Software Engineer experienced in the use of IBM's Distributed Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) software tool, DXL and Citrix. As Accenture's sole, on-site specialist representative for a new U.S. government client, this engineer must possess a high degree of professionalism and work well with a team. The engineer will complete complex, non-standard software engineering tasks as part of a sophisticated team consisting of the government client, consultants from other companies, and government contractors. The engineer will be expected to understand client requirement management needs, identify and assess problems, devise innovative solutions involving both DXL scripts and DOORS processes, present the solutions to the client team, document the solutions, and share his knowledge to train the client team. The engineer will also employ interpretive judgment to troubleshoot DOORS and Citrix problems at the client site. The engineer will operate in a stand alone mode, without daily supervision. He will be expected to manage his time by working directly with the customer to prioritize his work. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree Active SECRET Clearance 3 years of DOORS experience writing complex DXL applications 3 years of managing a Citrix server front-end to DOORSPreferred Skills: Highly skilled in developing sophisticated Graphical User Interfaces for DOORS applications Experience in customization of both the DOORS client and server environments Experience maintaining a large (50+ objects) networked DOORS databaseProfessional Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service experience Ability to work independentlyCLICK HERE TO APPLY Candidates who are currently employed by a client of Accenture or an affiliated Accenture business may not be eligible for consideration.
