THE "RIGHT" CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE APPLICATION BACKGROUND WITH WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF 'REQUIREMENTS'
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN THE BERKELEY/OAKLAND EAST BAY, CALIFORNIA AREA
The Director of Product Marketing plays a critical role in creating and implementing worldwide product marketing strategy for Requirements Definition. He or she will define compelling product positioning and messaging for the product and deliver it to customers, partners, analysts and other influencers. He/she will lead creation of innovative marketing campaigns/programs and supporting materials that highlight the functionality and benefits of the product and our solutions with it, drawing from his/her knowledge and experience in some or all of the following fields: enterprise architecture, business process modeling, requirements management, compliance and governance, application lifecycle management, and software development and testing
Minimum Qualifications:
· Track record of successfully marketing commercial software and building brands with recognized impact in a matrix environment
· Leadership and ability to influence peers and counterparts in cross-functional teams
· 5-7+ years experience marketing solutions in a b-to-b technology environment and/or selling in the public sector and defense markets
· Personal interest in and affection for how software applications deliver business value
· Knowledge of application lifecycle management and requirements management markets a plus
· Experience with organizing and growing online user communities
· Experience with product/solution marketing in international geographies
· Must be organized, self-motivated and detail oriented
· Effective written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong presentation skills for technical and business audiences
· Engineering degree plus MBA degree preferred.
