JOB SUMMARY: SPECTRUM is searching for an EDI/Data Integration Developer with strong MS SQL database programming knowledge and experience with .NET application development. This candidate will work within the Professional Services group to create and enhance interfaces on our HRIS software solution. These interfaces enable the exchange of data to and from our product in order to meet the data integration needs of our clients. Specific responsibilities include creating/modifying SQL stored procedures, view, and queries, creating and modifying C#.NET programs, working with EDI x12 data files, XML, and standard ASCII file formats, investigating and resolving data transaction errors, and working with our system tools to create and maintain client interfaces. RESPONSIBILITIES: Interface Creation • Build, develop, design, test data integration templates • Work with clients and vendors to implement interface specifications • Document and catalog data integration templates and tools • Support development and design of internal data integration tools Interface Support • Investigate data issues and interface errors • Modify code as needed to meet specification requirements • Maintain interface documentation • Identify and implement error reports/alerts to minimize support needs QUALIFICATIONS: (The ideal candidate should have…) • Strong data analysis skills • Understanding of normalized relational database structures • Strong MS SQL knowledge; views, queries, stored procedures, etc. • Working knowledge of BCP, SQL DTS or SQL 2005 SSIS processes • Application development experience in .NET technologies • Familiar with EDI x12, XML, CSV, ASCII file formats • Knowledge of communication protocols such as FTP • Self motivated and be able to work independently or on team projects • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required • Infrequent travel may be required SPECTRUM offers a rich benefit package including 100% paid employee medical/vision/dental, employer-matched 401(k), life insurance, long-term disability, tuition reimbursement, RTD EcoPass and much more.
