Crystal Reports/SQL Developer

We are small area consisting of three technical resources. Flexibility is a must and we have high visibility to executives. We support ALL of company regarding project information, both corporate and base projects. What do we support?

1. MicroSoft Project Server (MSP)

2. Department built applications using VB and ASP.NET, and other

3. Crystal reports – BusinessObjects XI R2



How do we support our users (executives, directors, managers, other)?

1. We load ALL workplans, resources and other resource information into project server

2. We create simple to complex data extracts using SQL (stored procedures and views). The SQL is created using a tool called Enterprise Manager

3. We create reports using Crystal reports, using stored procedures to extract the data from the SQL database

4. We create applications



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

For the first 6 to 8 months we need the following:

Perform the support duties

Create data extracts using SQL (stored procedures and views)

Create reports using Crystal reports, using stored procedures to extract the data from the SQL database

Under general direction and coaching, modifies moderately complex applications from detailed specifications.

Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs.

Participates in technical design, development and implementation of applications but focus is on post-design phases of application development life-cycle.

Develops documentation including installation and operating procedures, data flow diagrams and flowcharts.



Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.

Minimum one (1) to three (3) years related Microsoft SQL Server 2000 experience preferred.

Minimum one (1) years overall programming experience required working with industry leading technologies such as ASP.NET, VB.NET or C#.

Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to create moderate to complex queries using SQL.

Demonstrated understanding of object oriented programming and design principles.

Experience Crystal Reports or other industry leading report writing tools.

Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Excellent organization and communication skills required.

Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities required.

Ability to work independently on multiple assignments.



Preferred Experience

Business Objects Xcelcius and Web Intelligence experience.

MS Project Professional experience.
