Job Description Content Developers We're looking for Content Developers – Curriculum and Professional Development Specialist on behalf of our client, Wireless Generation.Wireless Generation pioneered the adaptation of mobile technologies, including handheld computers and digital pens, for use in managing and improving teaching and learning in grades pre-K-12. Summary Successful candidates will have experience in designing and developing strategies for, and approaches to, training and professional development experiences. They will also be skilled at determining new modes of delivery to most effectively support our customers’ needs. (Customers are educators and the education community, including teachers, coaches, administrators, specialists, parents, and students. For this particular position, candidates will be working primarily with educators in the New York City Department of Education’s schools, and will be largely responsible for developing training curriculum for the city’s Achievement Reporting and Innovation System (ARIS).) Successful candidates will have an understanding of the K–12 school environment and a strong commitment to educational improvement. Responsibilities: Provide instructional design expertise to ensure professional service offerings are research-based, educationally sound, and consistent with company’s mission and product offerings Analyze the professional development needs of current and potential customers Design professional development experiences that will go beyond traditional training sessions to build lasting capacity in schools Design and develop training and professional development materials for various educator groups who will be using the new ARIS system Think outside of conventional modes of delivery to determine the most effective blend of media for new professional development experiences Manage multiple materials development projects simultaneously Evaluate current and future professional service experiences, and use data to adjust experience and related materials Maintain expertise in the current K–12 markets, especially large urban districts such as the NYC Department of Education, including pedagogy and approaches, competition, and opportunities Conduct internal training sessions to roll out new professional learning experiences to trainers, Help Desk personnel, and others Requirements: 5+ years work experience 3+ years work experience in K–12 education or related field, including teaching, coaching, and/or administration Bachelors degree required Masters degree in education or instructional/curriculum design preferred Solid understanding of adult learning principles Excellent written and verbal English skills; written and verbal Spanish skills are a plus Proven project management and client communication ability Enthusiasm for and comfort within fast-paced, entrepreneurial company culture Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly Fluency with MS Office suite a must; fluency with Adobe Design Creative Suite or other design programs a strong plus Contact: Tim.Moore@veritude.com Please be prepared if less than 2 years of experience or recently graduated that you may be required to provide SAT and / or college GPA scores.
