The Full Employment Council, a premier non-profit workforce development organization, is seeking to fill the position of Computer Network Systems Analyst.
Computer/Network Systems Analyst
Support and maintain in-house computer systems, LAN & WAN Systems, desktops,
printers, software, phones, and peripherals. Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and
upgrading all hardware, software and all IT systems while ensuring optimal performance.
troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user
training and assistance where required. Responsibilities:
· Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, software, and networked peripheral devices.
· Review & test the LAN system as well as the WAN regularly to proactively minimize or eliminate any disruption of network system and down time, including virus and spyware or any other security threats.
· Create user manuals (as needed) to describe access to systems, installation and procedures; assist users in solving problems, train users in system use; provide technical assistance to users
· Work with end users to identify and deliver required system service levels.
· Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding PC and/or hardware problems. This includes being on call during off shifts
· Assist in the maintenance and inventory of all Technology Assets of the organization.
· Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring PC issues and performance.
· Recommend, schedule, and perform PC, hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
· Support the development and implementation of IT related projects.
· Ensure that there is adequate backup of organization information systems.
· Building, modifying and maintaining company performance reports and working with quality control group to insure accurate data and reports.
· Work concurrently on several projects and be flexible enough to deal with changing business strategies. Requirements:
· Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.
· Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
· Self motivated and directed and Keen attention to detail and organization.
· Analytical and problem-solving abilities and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure just-in-time manufacturing environment.
· Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and Strong customer-service orientation.
· Must have own transportation and auto insurance
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC hardware with hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
3+ years equivalent work experience, A+ and/or Network + MCSE certifications preferred
Basic experience installing and configuring Microsoft Exchange 2003
Working knowledge of Windows Server systems, Windows XP,
including Active Directory and Group Policy
Basic knowledge of LAN and phone wiring principles.
Experience in data base set-up and design
