Coldfusion Web Applications Developer

Position Description:

As a member of a software development team you’ll be working on next generation E-Business solutions, the incumbents will use their analytic and software development skills to design, develop and support applications offering a wide variety of secure online services, including web-based processing workflows, tracking, and reporting for telecommunication service/equipment:

• quotations

• orders

• asset and service inventories

• trouble tickets

• service performance objectives and guarantees

• documentation management

• electronic billing and

• Management reporting.



Education:

Post secondary education in computer sciences or related disciplines.



Required skills:

3 years minimum of recent (used in last 12 months) experience and expertise developing with:

Cold Fusion (MX and above – our current environment uses v8)

ORACLE (or other ANSI-complaint DBMS)

JAVASCRIPT and

HTML and CSS

Experience in development using CFCs, code modularity and reuse methodologies, as well as database insert, update, delete, view, and select query development.

Extensive experience in analysis of business requirements and converting these to functional and technical solutions

Exposure to meeting with various levels of users and management to discuss requirements, deliver presentations and/or assist during user training of systems you developed.



Desirable skills

Experience in using (or knowledge on how to use) CF Eclipse and integrate Java classes in CF code.

Exposure to (or knowledge of) development targeted to a UNIX environment for secure, high-availability applications.

Bilingualism with French would be a strong asset (English fluency is mandatory).

Experience developing in Java and building web services integrated with Coldfusion would be assets.



Security Clearance

Ability to hold a “SECRET” security clearance or can be cleared at that level– A request to clear the Incumbent to “Top Secret” will be issued subsequently)
