The Client Manager (CM), Higher Education is responsible for account retention of specific opportunity accounts in an assigned territory. It is the responsibility of this Client Manager to ensure that the client is satisfied and in good standing with their renewal at all times and to support the Regional Sales Manager through identifying potential sales opportunities from these existing clients.

The Client Manager, Higher Ed will play an integral role in the success of the group. Specifically s/he will: Ensure that the clients renew yearly license subscription within the time frame specified. This is done with the assistance of Finance. Keep abreast of Blackboard products, services and partner products and value propositions of each as well as the competitive landscape Build client success stories, references and execute on regional events and initiatives such as state user’s groups and webinars. Identify and work to mitigate client re-evaluations of their e-Learning platforms.  Act as the main point of contact within Blackboard for clients within the given territory at all times. The Client Manager is the liaison between and spokesperson for Blackboard and the client. Identify potential sales opportunities passing them along to the assigned Regional Sales Manager for follow-up. This includes executing on call campaigns, email campaigns, etc.It is the responsibility of Client Manager to contritbute to the pipeline for assigned territory. Ensure that client contact and product data stored in the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system is accurate and up-to-date. Required Experience



REQUIRED SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree required.Ability to manage 150+ account relationships at any given time. Basic skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong, positive attitude and work ethicMust be highly organized and able to prioritize Eagerness to learn and work in a fast paced, ever changing environmentAbility to work independently and in a team environmentMust be able to travel up to 10 % of the time to quarterly sales meetings and/or conferences
