Certification and Accreditation Specialist

A progressive IT & Telecommunications firm, requires a full-time Certification and Accreditation Specialist that will oversee contracts with a large scale nationwide client.  The qualified candidate will be able to perform the following duties: Duties include analyzing, defining, implementing, and documenting security controls for the Wide Area Network and Microsoft Directory Infrastructure.  Provide continuous monitoring of the effectiveness of security controls throughout the system’s development life cycle using an array of network and security monitoring and reporting tools.  Identify the Management, Operational, and Technical security controls and have the ability to provide continuous monitoring of these controls in a Wide Area Network and a Microsoft Active Directory environment.Assess the implementation of security controls to determine if they were implemented correctly.  Perform technical testing of Active Directory server’s configurations for Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance.  Analyze requested changes to the system to determine security impact.  Identify corrective actions in addressing vulnerabilities and facilitate corrective actions with all parties to include contractors and Federal employees. Experience in the Certification and Accreditation framework, with emphasis in the Continuous Monitoring phase.
Experience in technical assessment of Microsoft Active Directory environments for STIG compliance
Good interpersonal and communication skills in working with vendors, contractors, and government employees
At least 2-5 years of progressively more difficult specialized analytical and/or technical work in performing information security network services
CISSP, CCNA, CAP, Network+, Security, or MCSE certification a plus  Requires a Bachelors degree
