Engineer: Seeking dependable, motivated and detail-oriented NVH engineers with great organizational and communication skills to perform NVH analysis.

 

Responsibilities for NVH/Durability Engineers

1.  Performs NVH related analyses, validation and test development

2.  Perform noise and vibration analysis on engine mounted components and power train system.

3.  Supports NVH activities as needed for product development, product validation, failure analysis and continuous improvement and other relevant engineering project work within project team as required.

4.  Support management of engineering projects in the field of noise, vibration and functional performance

5.  Provide solution development and design guidance based on the analysis of the results

6.  Provide design suggestions to Design Engineers based on CAE and test results.

7.  Works on specific phases or aspects of projects:

a. Technical studies/plans, preparation of specifications

b. Engine testing, data analysis and validation.

8.  Planning/execution of project according to existing proposal / contract/specification: technical approach, expected risks, project team, and timing/deadlines.

9.  Meeting customer expectation via quality control and/or adaptation of customer expectation.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

 

·BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.

o  Advanced degree desired (but not required)

·Three (3) or more years of working knowledge of structural analysis software tools:

o  ANSA, NASTRAN,  LS-DYNA, Hypermesh

·Experience with NASTRAN NVH data acquisition systems.

·Experience with NASTRAN NVH modeling software.

1.  ·Extensive hands-on experience in modeling, analyzing full vehicle NVH problems, and identifying realistic design fixes.

· Strong knowledge and experience in using NVH simulation tools and experience in Noise and Vibration measurement technique.

· NVH data analysis experience (experimental modal analysis, operational, transfer path analysis, sound power measurements, sound quality measurements).

· Have an extensive understanding of product engineering concepts and applications

· Strong writing skills with exceptional organizational and follow-up skills

· Demonstrate ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, as well as to managers and engineers.

· Work successfully with project teams, both on the team and as a resource; strong inter-personal skills

· Self-starter with potential for technical leadership and coaching/teaching skills.
