C# Software Engineer

Position Title: Developer/Sr Developer (Multiple Positions)

 

Position Requirements: 2+ yrs (Sr position 5+ yrs) in the design and development of complex software using C# with at least some experience working on a commercial software product.  Requires strong development experience of multi-threaded applications in the .Net environment using C#.  Significant experience with Windows Mobile or WMI is a plus.  Experience with Java and J2ME is a plus.  Successful applicants will have strong experience on the server side of large scale enterprise applications developed for .Net.  Experience in small, startup or rapid growth firms is strongly preferred.  H1 transfers are welcome.  No subcontractors. 

 

Location/Commute/Travel: Columbia, Maryland – little to no travel required.

 

Compensation: Base salary in the $90,000 to $150,000 range based on level, specific experience and education. 

 

Firm:  This well funded startup is poised to cross over into a profitable firm.  Their current product suite is stable and is shipping to a growing list (75+ currently) of top tier clients.  Their product functions as an early-warning radar that could help you to detect, diagnose and resolve BlackBerry email downtime symptoms and performance bottlenecks at the user level, before those users even feel the effects.  The product also assists in the restoration of BlackBerry email service faster after a disruption.  We are currently embarking on the development of a second product for Windows Mobile technology.

 

Specific Job Responsibilities: We are looking for impact players that have very strong technical skills and are passionate about building great software products.  All positions will be hands on in the architecting, development and implementation of market leading software solutions.  We currently have 2 positions – 1 with lead responsibilities and 1 individual contributor – both for this exciting new development project.  We have an industry leading product used for the performance management of mobile Blackberry users.  We are now embarking on the development of a similar product for usage within the Windows Mobile environment.  Lead the design and development of our new enterprise monitoring tool for the Microsoft Windows Environment using C#.  Experience with WMI or SNMP and the development of systems management, performance management, network management, or status monitoring applications is preferred.  In this role you will be hands on in driving the development of this exciting new product.  Exposure to Java/J2EE is preferred.  Any experience developing under Windows Mobile is a plus.
