You will develop sophisticated financial models in our structured products group. Successful hire: Work extensively with C/C++ in a Unix and PC Window environment. Must have 1 to 5 years of working experience (will consider recent graduate of a top 25 US University). Individual will sit on the floor on the fixed income trading desk. Outstanding communication/presentation skills are a MUST. Will have excellent math and quantitative skills. Must be able to work productively and accurately with large amounts of financial data. Prefer someone with background in computer science, physics, mathematics, or mathematical economics. Must be able to handle tasks such as designing and implementing medium-sized applications, automating tasks such as data quality control, handling monthly and weekly data feeds from the third parties, organizing data in meaningful ways, and generating various reports to assist our trading decisions. Must be highly effective in a fast-moving and demanding trading environment. Ability to think clearly, show good judgment, pay close attention to details, work hard, and communicate accurately. Fixed-income market, bond math, derivative, modeling, ABS/CDO, Bloomberg, Intex, excel addins, Java, C#, and web application experience is desirable but not required.
