C/C++ Software Engineer

Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: IT/Software Development C/C++ Software Engineer Our client, located in Central New York, is looking to add a senior software engineer to their team for a contract to hire opportunity.This person will be joining the R&D group and working on new applications from scratch. On a day to day basis this person will be responsible for new development and for conducting research to flexible distributed system architectures to provide automated network defense capabilities for network analysts.The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of C/C++ programming experience as well as Object Oriented programming skills, either Java or C#. This person must also have a working knowledge of TCP/IP network protocols, firewalls, cryptography, digital signatures, IDS and network security principles. This person must also be able to write technical reports and give briefings to the customer.This is a contract to hire opportunity on a W-2 basis only. Candidates must be able to obtain security clearance.
