DescriptionC++ Application Developer (St. Louis, MO) is a great opportunity for a quick learner to grow their knowledge of the financial industry, while applying cutting edge technology for a fast growing and exciting company. The candidate will be a member of the team responsible for the architecture, development and maintenance of trading infrastructure applications supporting our product line including ScottradeELITE, Scottrader and our new trading web site. The candidate will have the opportunity to work side by side with the business team to take a product from idea to reality. Duties and Responsibilities: Work with Junior and Senior Development members, as well as business and product departments to develop and write application systems and programs. Work within production control guidelines for production application changes. Unit testing of each solution to ensure proper performance and efficiency guidelines are met. Obtains and maintains a working knowledge of operating systems and hardware used by the Web and Development groups, and systemic relationships with outside service providers and designers. Documents programs in accordance with development standards and procedures. Create and/or modify current documentation. Required Skills 2 years of proven success as a mid to senior level developer required. 3 years of programming experience using OOP. C++, C#, or Java required. Knowledge of relational database concepts. Working interaction with databases from client applications using stored procedures. Knowledge of application communication API's including JMS, COM, and sockets. Working experience with using source control systems such as VSS or CVS. Working experience in writing and debugging multithread applications. Required ExperienceBachelor degree in MIS or Computer Science or Business or related field or equivalent experience required.
