Business Systems Analysts - Sales Applications
Job SummaryThe Business Systems Analyst will work with representatives from Sales and related areas to perform business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, and define a six to 12 month plan to meet business needs. The goal is to improve the efficiency and scalability of the sales organization. The analyst is the liaison between the business areas at The MathWorks and the Business Applications team. Responsibilities Working with business to understand workflows and processes Working with business to map their goals and priorities to a six to twelve month plan Meeting with business areas to negotiate release content and prioritize work Coordinating the activities of developers and QA to meet project timelines Analyzing and documenting business requirements; proposing implementation approaches and high level design Performing root cause analysis when issues arise Communicating the results of complex analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences Attending department-wide and CRM team release meetings Based on aptitude and experience of the applicant, some light development activities could be included (scripting, configuration) Qualifications 4+ years experience with Sales Force Automation (SFA) Experience with Territory and Opportunity assignment and management Demonstrated ability to convert abstract concepts and/or visions into business process models and functional requirements Demonstrated ability to map user needs to system capabilities 2+ years project management experience. Strong communication skills. In particular, person must have the ability to communicate with both business and technical people effectively Ability to write SQL queries and a solid understanding of relational databases Experience with Siebel Sales (CRM) is preferred Siebel development experience is a plus Experience with Java, VB, JavaScript is a plus Familiarity with Object Oriented Design principles Company: The MathWorks, Inc.Reference Code: 6664 ©2006 The MathWorks, Inc.
