The Company operates over 1,100 retail stores in the United States, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and e-commerce sites, www.fye.com, www.coconuts.com, www.wherehouse.com, www.secondspin.com, www.samgoody.com and www.suncoast.com In addition to its mall locations, operated under the f.y.e., Sam Goody and Suncoast brands, the Company also operates freestanding locations under the names Coconuts Music and Movies, Strawberries Music, Wherehouse, Sam Goody, On Cue, CD World, Spec’s, Second Spin and Planet Music. Trans World Entertainment’s Business Intelligence (BI) Department is seeking a BI Developer Analyst to perform systems development and support activities to support an Oracle Data Warehouse.  Responsibilities include: ETL programming, development project planning, testing, documentation and implementation of systems and programs. Responsibilities:Application development of approved designs including programming, job control, testing, debugging and documentation.  Completing analysis to provide estimated development efforts for new processing or changed processing thus resulting in a detailed change request document. Production trouble shooting, program debugging and testing, post-implementation review of new/changed applications.   Recommendations for performance improvements, new notifications needed within process flows.  Continued review of overall processing for efficient and closed loop processing. Perform detailed analysis and design of business application systems and programs.  To include; data analysis, documenting processing flow, defining inputs & outputs and assisting in project task planning. Development standards definition.  This includes programming, testing, documentation standards as well as naming conventions and reporting standards Assist in evaluation of new and emerging technologies for proposed procurement by TWE.  This should include analysis of New vs. Existing technology to determine integration compatibility, implementation feasibility and timing of implementation. Qualifications:Successful candidates will possess a minimum of a 2 yr Computer Science degree, Information Systems or Technical School Equivalent.  4 yr. CS or IS degree preferred. 2 + yrs SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Warehouse Builder, Unix shell scripting, SQL*Loader, Oracle data warehouse experience with database size of 3TB or better required. Prefer at least 4+ yrs SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Warehouse Builder version 10., Unix shell scripting, SQL*Loader, Oracle data warehouse experience with database size of 5TB or better, Oracle Discoverer, Toad, SQL Plus, Oracle Workflow Manager, Oracle OWB Audit Browser. Ability to organize, document plan and manage multiple facets of projects.  Must also have clear, concise communication skills verbally and in writing. Ability to partner with project teams consisting of technical and business personnel.   EOE!  Compensation Trans World Entertainment has emerged as the strongest specialty entertainment retailer in the country.
