Kronos is a privately held company and was founded in 1977. About the Position: The Business Development Manager – Services Portfolio position is responsible for the development and expansion of Kronos’ Professional and Educational Services portfolio.  This role is responsible for managing all aspects of services product development and product rollout.  This business development position requires a high level of service, financial, marketing, sales, and competitive analysis experience.   The Services Portfolio Manager will create and execute strategy as it relates to the packaging, promotion, and release of all services product; this includes driving overall messaging and positioning. Must be current on market information and competitive intelligence to ensure that Kronos services portfolio remains competitive and current edge.  How to effectively package and position offerings to meet the needs of the market, customers and sales reps will be crucial. Must also develop sales tools and techniques to help improve effectiveness of sales.  This position is also the connection between services and sales/service operations for the update and ongoing needs of sales and service tools such as automated RFP support, sales training, service quoting tools, price book, and sales tools in general.  Finally, the Services Portfolio Manager will be responsible for working with marketing to create programs to penetrate the customer base.  This role will drive service marketing efforts and serve as the subject matter expert in the development of strategy.  Program penetration rates and  program profitability will be key indicators of success for this position.  Principal Responsibilities:· Create and execute portfolio strategy· Lead positioning, messaging, packaging, and promotion of portfolio · Manage pricing and management of price book· Develop, manage, and maintain internal sales tools web site Develop support offerings for line of business Develop target market analysis Develop business plans Develop and manage part numbers, product codes Cross functional interface to Service Planning and Marketing organizations Educate corporate and field staff on portfolio Subject matter expert developing marketing collateral and data sheets Contract development and negotiations Develop revenue generation programs and  promotions Conduct competitive analysis Required Skills and Education: Bachelors degree, Masters a plus, 8 years of experience in a similar environment with a minimum of 4 years previous marketing or business development experience.  Must possess exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills and be top notch interpersonally and organizationally. Previous sales experience is highly desirable. Relevant industry experience in software, services consulting required; a professional services maven would be ideal.  Ability to manage multiple projects to completion at the same time is a must.
