Business Applications Software Consultant

SyncraTec Solutions is a Microsoft Certified Partner focused on helping small- to medium-sized companies realize the potential of their business software investment by delivering corporate-class information technology systems on a small-business budget.  Our goal is to provide trusted I.T. advisory, and implementation consulting services for value-oriented business technology solutions.

 

We currently have a Microsoft Dynamics specialization and we're seeking a Business Application Software Consultant to work closely with clients implementing software such as Microsoft Dynamics SL and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

 

You will interview clients to understand existing business processes and determine requirements for setup / configuration of software to include, for example, setup of Chart of Accounts, establishment of Billing Rules, customization of invoice formats, import of legacy data, write custom reports, develop security scheme, write technical specifications for advanced customizations (no programming skills required).

 

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL, Dynamics GP, Dynamics CRM or  Enterprise Software such as J.D. Edwards, PeopleSoft, Baan, Oracle, SAP.

 

General Accounting knowledge: G/L, A/R, A/P and understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet) including revenue recognition.

 

Familiarity/Affinity for networked computer concepts such as IIS Web Applications, SharePoint Services, Business Portal, DNS concepts, SSL security certificates, etc.  These skills are helpful for installing and upgrading the software, as necessary. 

 

Must also be comfortable with Microsoft Office Applications/Productivity software.

 

Excellent communications skills.  Energetic, willing, and able to share information, teach clients how the systems work.  Ability to write proposals, give technical sales demonstrations, as required.

 

Customer Service attitude.

 

Detail-oriented: it is necessary, at times -- due to the nature of the work -- to be very detail-oriented, such as, in cases where automatic accounting rules are setup, or large batches of data are being imported into live environments.

 

Familiarity with relational database concepts a plus.  Query tools could be used on an everyday basis to gain a quick understanding of the status of data within the system.  A certain level of comfort with Transact-SQL statements as used within query tools, such as Business Intelligence Development Studio, would be most helpful.

 

Report writing skills with tools such as Enterprise Report Writer, FASTR, FRx, Crystal Reports or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) a big plus.  Any advanced concepts with SQL Reporting Services is deemed extra valuable, such as setup of Report Builder, SSAS, SSIS, Reporting Services in SharePoint Integrated Mode, etc.
