The Business Analyst is expected to be a subject matter expert for the Chordiant Marketing product from requirements definition and planning through design, development and release. They will serve as a team member along with design, development and test staff throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle from conception through to completion and release.
Our Applications development group in Bedford, NH is hiring for a Business Analyst. The Business Analyst will promote investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product owners. The Business Analyst will advocate business requirements and will help to ensure that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals.

Major Responsibilities
· Collaborates with Product Owner and external users to define and communicate business requirements, develops and maintains strong relationships, and keeps partners informed and engaged throughout the entire project lifecycle.
· Provides detailed, high-quality documentation of requirements of the component in development.
· Supports the Product Owner with the definition, management and grooming of the product backlog. Assists in developing, maintaining and tracking the project priorities, including reviewing progress and issues.
· Uses the appropriate tools to develop application business logic where required.
· Proactively learns and quickly demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the entire suite of Chordiant products with an eye to identifying and promoting opportunities for re-use.
· Communicates requirements to the testing and technology teams and ensures proper translation of business requirements into technical/design requirements.
· Provides end-to-end business analysis and design for the development of Chordiant Marketing products with respect to functional requirements, workflow process designs, and user interface designs. Develops functional software specifications as appropriate including but not limited to, process models, use cases, class models, screen flows, story boards and object sequence diagrams.
· Is able to work on an Agile team as a team member, works collaboratively and contributes to the overall success of the team.
· Participates in usability-focused activities for both enhancements and new development.
· Reviews test plans and test cases, and participates in the execution of test cases as needed.
· Represents the business to the Support, Development, Test and Training organizations to provide timely responses to product support issues.
· Designs, implements and tests business decisioning logic.
· Participates in customer implementation analysis as needed.
Skills Required
· Excellent communication skills.
· Insight and understanding of SOA and Enterprise solutions
· Demonstrated expertise in performing process modeling, Business Class modeling, High Level Object Sequence Diagrams, Use Case analysis, gap analysis, functional storyboards, candidate UI design with the use of relevant tools
· The ability to communicate complex business and technical issues in plain English
· Demonstrated knowledge of core business processes in the Marketing domain
· Must have (or gain) an understanding of Chordiant’s product set.
Pre-requisites
· A BS degree in business or computer sciences plus 6-8 years of experience OR an advanced degree and 5 years of relevant work experience
· 4+ years experience in business analysis of application development projects
· Experience in information technology business that has included project estimation feasibility studies, business analysis, business design reviews, implementation, acceptance testing, documentation, functional reviews, and project management.
· Willingness to travel from time to time
