EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS The Volume Business Unit (VBU) is looking for a Business Analyst to help build and run its business across 62 countries and over 2,000 partners worldwide. The successful candidate will interact with Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Product leaders in the OEM, Distribution, eStore and Inside Sales teams that make up the Volume Business Unit.WORK EXPERIENCE The key functional areas the Business Analyst will focus on are as follows: * Team performance relative to quotas, KPIs and strategy. The business analyst will help manage and distribute the VBU Dashboard each month to the Executive Committee and VBU leadership. He/she will also interact with Business Objects Finance in managing the VBU quarterly P&L, providing commentary to the business drivers and “story behind the numbers�. * Business liaison to VBU General Manager and team leaders. This role is more than number crunching analysis. He/she will be a sounding board and business advisor to the VBU leaders. His/her advice will be sought out for VBU team decisions, and he/she will attend all VBU team meetings and functions. * Internal evangelist. While the OEM, Distribution, Inside Sales and eStore channels have been a part of Business Object for some time, the Volume Business Unit is new to the company. This role will interact with Business Objects’ partner operations, Legal, Finance and Order Management teams, acting as an advisor, and internal evangelist for VBU initiatives. * Cross-functional business processes. The VBU is run as a holistic business, from engineering to product management to lead generation, sales and customer support. The successful candidate will be able to identify the “customer lifecycle� of a VBU customer, identify operational gaps between the above functional groups, suggest ways to bridge those gaps, and work to close them. The end result will be a more agile and cost efficient Volume Business Unit. TRAVEL Limited.EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES * The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate in Finance, Accounting or Engineering.
