Business Analyst - E Commerce

Responsible for the definition of all business requirements that are related to the application systems working with the internal customer(s), development, project manager and 3rd party partners.

Responsible for keeping the user documentation and resources to be an exact representation of the business systems and processes.

Work with 3rd parties to develop and agree on specifications.

Responsible for the adequacy and relevance of test plans to the type of change involved.

Responsible for ensuring that the risk assessment analyses represent a complete and realistic course of probable events.

Responsible for ensuring that system tests and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) are properly executed and documented according to the IT department policies.

Providing support to the user community: training, error solving, system enhancement recommendation, expert office automation advise, etc.

Finding efficient and expert business solutions to “daily” technical and procedural issues.

Following and improving the pertinent IT department procedures and policies.

Work closely with 3rd party vendors to support, oversee and communicate updates to the user community.

Aptitude to learn new solutions quickly and act as the internal expert.

Investigate and evaluate new solutions and provide recommendations to the internal customers.



Requirements:

College Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Minimum of two (2) years experience as a business system analyst or closely related field.

Five (5) years experience in a related retail environment.

Three (3) year in Oracle environment using SQL is preferred.

Thorough understanding of web technologies and of E-commerce and business concepts related.

Understanding of transactional information flow, from the point-of-purchase to back end systems, including payment processing, taxability and order fulfillment processes is required.

Strong working knowledge of MS Office.

Strong communication skills.

Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.

Bilingualism required (French/English, oral/written).

Flexibility to work late nights and weekends as needed.

Knowledge of Retek V4 and of the distribution cycle of merchandises is an asset.

Knowledge of Auditworks is an asset.
