Oulr Client is a Fortune 100 financial institution. The client is in need of a highly-skilled, business analyst to work with their internal clients ensuring that business requirements are developed comprehensively, accurately, and always keeping the client’s customer (the end user) in mind. In addition to ability to create in-depth Use-cases, detailed business requirements and perform business process analysis/documentation and data modeling, the successful consultant must be able to lead conference calls and communicate project updates to stakeholders thoughout the process.
Work will be completed on site in San Francisco at 40 hours per week. The client expects the engagement to last 3-6 months and willingness to become an employee of client at the end of a successful consulting contract period is highly preferred. Interviews will be the week August 11.

Responsibilities
For a diversified financial services organization play a key role in the application development process. Our client has two potential projects for the BA consultant:
1) in a post-redesign environment develop business requirements and use cases for a web based interface enabling commercial card customers to manage their expense process online;
2) develop business requirements and project manage the integration of products with ERP and accounting software behind the scenes as well a few products with a web front end.
The M Squared consultant will work directly with the product and business owners to develop the business requirements. This is an advisory role within a highly collaborative environment. Apply a consultative methodology ensuring full exploration of the requirements and desired end result with product managers including defining high level business requirements and explaining them to business partners.
Facilitate discussions and walkthroughs including all appropriate stakeholders throughout the process leading to development of an accurate, astute set of detailed business requirements and use cases. Work closely with the technical team and interface designers to ensure feasibility and customer ease of use.
Deliverables
Deliverables are expected to include, but not be limited to:
· Develop spot-on, detailed business requirements
· Create accurate, in-depth use cases
· Defect remediation
· Change control
· Lead conference calls with 5-15 participants
· Produce clear documentation (meeting minutes, action items, Project Definition Documents, Business Requirements Documents, Use Cases)
· Business process and data modeling as needed
· Perform functional testing if needed
· Communicate project status to stakeholders throughout the entire process
Industry Experience
Functional experience is most important
Banking industry knowledge is preferred
Functional Experience
· Substantial experience in business analysis writing detailed business requirements and use cases
· Knowledge of Internet technologies preferred
· Knowledge of web application project life cycle helpful
· Experience with Agile (SCRUM) methodologies
· Experience with change control process and defect remediation
· Conversant in technical terminology (servers and file formats and interfaces and messages and ERP systems and mainframes, etc.)
· Experience using unified modeling language (UML) including state and sequence diagrams helpful
· Project management experience a big plus
· Experience modeling business processes helpful
· Data modeling to create business view of data (ERD for example) helpful
· Knowledge of user interface design preferred
· Product management experience nice to have
· Project management and issue resolution
· Functional testing helpful
