Business Analyst - BA

Location: Jersey City, NJ 07302 Description: Performs and coordinates the analysis and design of business systems. Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the needs of the assigned customer group from the business and technical perspective. Works closely with clients and with other system groups to capture business requirements and see them through implementation. Develops and executes systems testing. Acts as a liaison between the business user groups and the technical systems groups. Skills:Credit Card Industry experience preferred. Experience migrating large RDBMS Data Warehouse Solutions (e.g. IBM, Teradata, Oracle) for Customer Relationship Management modules a Plus. Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (BO, MicroStrategy, Cognos) a Plus Roles and Responsibilities: Working with different Business groups/users to understand the Business Requirements for the project. Working closely with the business users to understand the current state and target state business processesWorking with different IT & Business groups to understand and determine the Impacts to the Data Warehouse and/or Data Marts for different projectsCreating the Functional Requirement Specification/FRS for the Data Warehouse and/or Data Mart for the projectProviding input to the Data Architect to help create/update Logical/Physical Data Models for the Data Warehouse and/or Data MartsWorking closely with the Development team to validate that the Technical design meets the business requirements Reviewing Test Plans/Scripts to ensure adequate coverage for the proposed design.
