Build/Release/Configurations Management Engineer
Administers, builds and delivers Linux, Windows and Java software using Subversion and a set of build tools. In this challenging position, you will be at the center of a high performance team that creates storage-area networking products, keeping the continuous build systems humming, overseeing automated tests, organizing deliveries and keeping the team informed of build breakages. You will be our software configuration management systems administrator, managing code lines and branches, working with IT on networking and server issues affecting the build and automated test system, and administering Subversion, Cruise Control, mysql and a set of tools written in bash, Python and Perl. You will be the eyes and ears of the leadership team on software product builds, ensuring that product flow is working correctly and keeping the team informed of outages. You will also be running scripted installer builds using bash, InstallShield and InstallAnywhere. You will also develop and maintain components of the build system using bash and Perl (Python is a plus).
Experience Requirements:
*2-4 years experience with software configuration management using Subversion, CVS or comparable tools in Linux. *2+ experience with building Windows applications. 2+ years experience with Linux shell scripting (bash) or PERL. *Experience with Python, mysql and html is highly desired.
*Experience with Java builds is highly desired.
*Experience with automated build systems, particularly those that automate both Linux and Windows, is highly desired.
*Experience with automated testing of client-server applications using clients running Windows Server is highly desired. *Experience with embedded Linux automated installation, test and reporting techniques is highly desired.
*Experience with automated installation and scripting in Windows is a plus.
*Experience with server, network and storage administration in a combined Linux and Windows environment is a plus.
