Beta Program Manager (Project Manager): Knowledge of CAE and CAD

The Beta Program Manager will be responsible for defining and managing the Alpha and Beta Release Program for the SIMULIA brand, working with QA, customer support, marketing, sales, product development, SIMULIA offices, and customers to define the scope and deliverables expected from several major interrelated beta programs. Specific responsibilities include: • Define, schedule, and manage the master beta test plan for the SIMULIA brand.• Define, schedule, and manage the beta test plans for individual SIMULIA products.• Coordinate logistics for customer and field office testing and associated travel.• Define and manage budget for all beta activities, including travel to and from customer sites and field offices, leased computer hardware, etc.• Gather, analyze, and disseminate feedback to development, marketing, and operations, including customer surveys, bugs, enhancement requests, and performance data.• Work with product development and marketing to ensure that issues uncovered by beta testing are addressed properly.• Act as liaison among QA, customer support, marketing, sales, product development, SIMULIA offices, and customer for all beta-related activities.• Document beta test processes.• Provide new, innovative ideas for improving beta testing thoroughness and efficiency. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred. 5+ years of progressive experience in software Program or Project Management. Experience managing beta programs is a strong plus. Additional requirements include: • Knowledge of computer-aided engineering and CAD. Mechanical engineering experience is a strong plus.• Demonstrated Program or Project Management experience, including time and resource management, project planning, process implementation, documentation, and budgeting.• Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
