Position: Back Office C# Developer

Location:  Downtown

Salary Range:  Up to $100,000 + Bonus

 

Company Description:  Investment-banking client.

 

Requirements:  5 + years development experience.  Strong MS SQL background (MS SQL 2005).  Solid .NET experience (C#). C# and MS SQL experience are equally important. Solid testing experience.  Strong knowledge of object oriented concepts.  Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.  High level of commitment and enthusiasm.  Financial industry experience.  Bachelor’s degree.

 

Desired Skills:

Experience at an investment management firm (very desirable).  Knowledge of trading systems.  Linedata Longview experience is ideal.  Examples of other trading systems include: Charles River, Eze Castle, Advent Moxy, LatentZero, SS&C Antares, and ITG Triton X.  Knowledge of equity trading processes.  Some report writing experience (Crystal, Reporting Services, etc.)

 

Duties: Support trading systems and separately management account infrastructure. Support work will include fixes to production applications, small projects, and system enhancements.  Requires developing a strong understanding of trading workflows and the trading technical infrastructure.  The purpose of the project is to provide a new vendor trading system to our Domestic Equity and Fixed Income groups.  Participate in full system development lifecycle including high-level design, detailed design, test planning, construction, deployment planning, testing, deployment, and post deployment support. Potential development work includes creating data loads and developing reports for use by traders and portfolio managers.
