Audio DSP Software Engineer

We are looking for a talented, creative, enthusiastic, Audio DSP Software Engineer to help create the next wave of innovative new products for Digidesign’s Live Sound product line.Since its launch 3 years ago, Digidesign’s VENUE live sound environment has quickly become the new standard for major touring acts and installations around the globe. Artists including U2, Dave Matthews Band, Paul McCartney, Jay-Z, Chris Brown, Jill Scott, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, James Taylor, the Dixie Chicks, Nine Inch Nails, Barbra Streisand, and many others rely on VENUE audio consoles to convey their live performances.Customers’ acceptance of the VENUE product line is overwhelmingly positive, and we are growing the team to keep up with the demand.  This is your chance to join our expanding team and make your mark on Digidesign’s future generations of live sound products.As an Audio DSP Software Engineer, you will design and implement a wide variety of signal processing algorithms and audio infrastructure components on various target devices including DSP processors, SOCs, and FPGAs.  You will design and create code that implements equalizers, filters, SRCs, dynamics algorithms, mixing blocks, metering, routing/switching, and other audio functions. The tasks may also include work on higher-level architectural issues associated with real-time, multi-threaded embedded systems, including scheduling, I/O, synchronization, etc.  You will help drive technology into products and keep engineers aware of relevant new technology. Minimum requirements include a BSEE, BSCE, or BSCS degree and 5 years of experience, or a MS degree and 3 years of experience.  You must have experience coding for embedded DSP processors. You must also be proficient at C and C++ programming. The strongest candidate will have experience with both fixed-point and floating-point processors from Motorola, Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, and Intel.If you meet these requirements and are interested in developing world-class audio products used by some of the top performers in the business, please contact us for consideration.
