Associate Technician NOC
Datanomics, a full service provider of computer consulting services since 1982, is currently seeking an Associate Technician NOC for a contract-to-hire position with a Wireless Company in Bedminster, New Jersey. All candidates must have 2-4 years of Telecom Background and 2 years of Data Network troubleshooting. Applicant's Telecom Experience should consists of background in areas listed below Lucent CDMA Nortel CDMA Motorola CDMA DS1, DS3 testing Data Networks Experience should consists of troubleshooting background in areas listed below ATM network Cisco Routers and Switches PDSN MPLS.Minimum Associate’s degree, two-year technical degree, relevant military experience, equivalent special electronics training, or equivalent work experience is required. Must have at least 1 year experience in cellular plus electronics training. Telecommunications alarming in a NOC environment is a plus. Must have basic training and/or coursework in at least 2 of the following areas: · data communications· digital communications· operating systems and applications· telecommunications· computer support· project management· power Knowledge of UNIX and various Microsoft products is required. Must have demonstrated telephone, communications, and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow established guidelines, policies, and procedures is required. Ability to work in a high-pressure dynamic environment and adjust to priority changes is required. Commitment to quality and the motivation and ability to work well in a team environment is required. Ability to work extremely flexible hours including evenings, nights and weekends and support “on-call” duties and shift work is required. Occasional traveling to schools and field for training is required. A demonstrated knowledge of transmission facilities and facilities testing (DS0, DS1, DS3, and Microwave) is desired. Knowledge of Network Trouble Ticketing Systems would be a big plus!Nortel, Lucent, Motorola, Tellabs, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications would be an advantage.
