SirsiDynix has immediate full-time opportunities in its Provo, Utah office for individuals for the position of Controller

 

OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will act as chief fiduciary over the integrity and accuracy of worldwide financial results. This role will serve as a key member of the finance management team, contributing to all commercial, operational and financial matters maximizing profits and growth in the business. The Controller will direct and manage the accounting functions to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and to properly record revenue and expenses. The position is responsible for worldwide revenue accounting and reporting, compensation plan management, cash management, worldwide consolidated close, as well as accounts payable, payroll and tax functions for North America.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure that financial statements are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP. Coordinate the timely and accurate worldwide consolidation and close process. Manage the preparation of financial reports for the Board of Directors and operating reports for executive management.Oversee global compliance to operating budgets and proactively manage variances.Maintain effective control environment and ensure that all required policies and processes are in place and operational. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures while maintaining a balance with the company’s commercial needs for flexibility.Maintain a close working relationship with the company’s external auditors in order to supervise and assist in the preparation and review of financial statements. Identify opportunities and implement processes to continuously improve the performance of the company.Manage, recruit, develop, and motivate personnel.

 EXPERIENCE Experience with a Big Four Accounting firm, required.5 to 8 years experience of progressively senior financial appointments, including relevant experience at a global software company.Must have held a senior accounting management position, managing and motivating staff to meet tight and complex reporting requirements. Be accustomed to the environment of a large international company in the high technology sector.Have excellent knowledge of US GAAP, including software revenue recognition. Must have excellent business systems background with recent experience with a major ERP system.Must have the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and executive management.

 

EDUCATION & TRAININGBachelors Degree in Accounting Certified Public Accountant, required MBA Great Plains experience a plus
